Coaching and NLP
Sheri is the Founder of Women For Women & Insightful Communications and an Empowerment
Coach for Entrepreneurs, a perfect fit since she's been successfully
self-employed herself for over 23 years!
In addition, Sheri has her certification as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Practitioner with NLP Canada Training Inc. She enjoys a wonderful and
growing relationship with the Senior Partners, Chris Keeler and Linda Ferguson,
PhD; and has worked closely with Linda on a number of projects geared towards
entrepreneurs in particular.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a study of how we think and communicate, verbally
and non-verbally; and how we can reinforce and/or reprogram our patterns of
behavior to help us lead more fulfilling, joyful, successful lives.
Community
Her sense of community and charity overflows in areas affecting women (and children).
From President of the Central York Region Chapter of the Business Women's Networking
Association (B.W.N.A.) to Co-ordinator for the Markham Chapter of Women In Networking
Growing Strong (W.I.N.G.S.), Sheri believes in giving back and generously
shares her knowledge and expertise.
In 2006, life brought Sheri and two other colleagues together to start a company
called Stepping Up Events. Their mission is simple; acknowledge and access the
incredible resources we have 'close to home' and educate and inspire women.
Through these efforts, their ongoing commitment is also to bring awareness to
and support local charities that often go unnoticed.
Aloette
Besides her thriving coaching and writing practice, many clients of which are
her peers, Sheri is also the President of Sales for Aloette Cosmetics in this
region. As such, she also works closely with another group of women entrepreneurs,
the team of Aloette Beauty Consultants on her staff; providing ongoing training,
along with personal coaching where needed.
Sheri has had extensive training and mentoring in direct
sales, including with the founder of Aloette Cosmetics, Tricia Defibaugh and
current CEO, Christie Cohen.

Entrepreneurship
Sheri's integrity and work ethic comes naturally, given the entrepreneurial
spirit that seems to have surrounded her ever since she can recall; with
a loving grandmother, hard-working father, and wonderful in-laws (whose parents
emigrated from the Ukraine in the early 1900's).
 As a small child,
and with an odd keenness that makes more sense now, Sheri followed
her paternal grandmother's every move as she balanced the domestic demands of
her era, and a successful home-based business as a gifted and self-taught seamstress.
Following suit in her father's cartage businesses, even in her early teens,
she would often go on the road with him or help in the office or warehouse;
and in her later teens, experienced the hospitality industry first-hand, under
the guidance of her in-laws and now husband, Wayne. The insights she gained
and the lessons she learned have been invaluable in her own journey, along with
that of many others she now mentors.
Today, she says she couldn't do without the support of her husband and mom.
Their 'behind the scenes' work, from bookkeeping to customer service is invaluable
and allows Sheri to do 'what she does best'.
Remaining a student of life, Sheri continues to study, formally
and otherwise; often referring 'with high regard' to the works of 'personal
development' forefathers, such as Brian Tracey, Bob Proctor, Stephen Covey,
Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, John C. Maxwell and Dr. Wayne Dyer (just to name a
few).
Family
 As you may have guessed, closest
to Sheri's heart, is her family, all 4 generations. It's one of the main reasons
she loves working for herself, not to mention the financial freedom
and rewards, knowing that if she wants a pay raise, all she needs to do is
work a little harder!
Sheri runs a busy household, and is the proud Mom of Matthew and Aleksandra
(Matthew's lovely fiancé). She loves spending time with her husband, Wayne,
of 25 years; especially cottage life, when they get a chance to slip away for
a few days.
In her 'personal' time she enjoys cooking, reading... and writing (working on
her first two books).

Now 46 years young, and living through the many changes and challenges of life;
